About Us

The White Hart is owned and run with care and passion by Matthew Mason and his family. As a chef by trade, Matthew has a love for great food and can often be found in the kitchen. His wife, Laura, leads the wedding team and his son, Luke – with his extensive wine expertise – ensures the smooth running of the restaurant.

We are proud to have been awarded five gold stars for restaurant and accommodation from British tourism, a five-star Inn from the AA, 2 AA rosettes for food, and mentioned in the Michelin guide.
